   The name Jerry Yang might not ring a bell to the average person reading this but the name Yahoo is a household name. Yahoo provides various services from news to mailbox services to internet search, messaging service and a host of other things which at one point or the other all of us have made use of. 1. His full name: Although known as Jerry. His full name is Jerry Chih-Yuan Yang.
2. His early life: He was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to California, San Jose to be precise when he was 10 with his mother. The only word he knew when he arrived California was shoe despite his mother being an English teacher.
3. His education: Unlike most technopreneurs who dropped out of college while developing their projects, Jerry Yang graduated from Stanford university with both his bachelor's degree and masters degree.
4. His other business ventures: He is the founding partner of AME Cloud Ventures which has provided funding to more than 50 startups.
5. He is a collector: He has a collection of Chinese Calligraphy which he began collecting in the 1990s that contains about 250 pieces.
